My thoughts on the formula

Overall, I am happy with their formula. This is my second experience with the Glam Polish formula and all of the shades applied smoothly, layered well, self levelled, and dried within a reasonable amount of time. The brush is very thin, but I didn’t find that it caused any streaking problems.

Glam Polish The Goonies Trio

It’s Our Time Down Here

It’s Our Time Down Here is a clear base with iridescent and gold flakies, purple and fuchsia hex glitters in multiple sizes and iridescent and fuchsia shreds. This is a really stunning shade that can be used as a topper or built up to be semi-opaque. You’ll likely always have some naked patches with this polish, unless you sponge it on, but I think it is really beautiful with a couple of coats. Keep in mind when assessing opacity, I do not have a VNL (visible nail line) so it looks more opaque on me than it may on you. Here I used two coats, one coat of a smoothing top coat and another of a glossy top coat to knock out any texture. The last two pictures show this shade matte.

Jerk Alert!

Jerk Alert! is a white crelly with a gold, pink, blue and purple hex glitters in multiple sizes, iridescent flakies, blue and gold shreds and a gold to green shimmer. This shade built to opacity nicely however I did have some issues with some of the blue shreds being a bit too bulky or not laying flat. However it just took a bit of finessing with the brush to either remove the problem shreds or flatten them out. This shade reminded me of the recently released Hey Snot Face! from the Drop Dead Fred Trio so I have included a comparison below. Hey Snot Face! does not have a shimmer and features blue, pink and purple hex glitters and gold flakies. Here I used two coats, one coat of a smoothing top coat and another of a glossy top coat to knock out any texture. The last two pictures show this shade matte.

Hey You Guys!

Hey You Guys! is a sheer blue jelly with matte blue, matte black, iridescent and holographic glitters in multiple sizes, gold to green shimmer, iridescent flakies and black shreds. This polish is seriously jam packed with goodies. The shade of blue is really pretty and I love that strong green shimmer! Here I used two coats, one coat of a smoothing top coat and another of a glossy top coat to knock out any texture. The last two pictures show this shade matte.

Thoughts on the Goonies Trio

If I’m being honest, I actually haven’t watched the Goonies so I don’t know how well these polishes match the inspo. HOWEVER, this is another stunningly curated trio from Glam Polish! I particularly like how complex the elements are in each of the shades and that clear topper shade is *chef’s kiss*.
