Glam Polish Drop Dead Fred Trio

Hello everyone! Today I have swatches of the Glam Polish Drop Dead Fred Trio*. This limited edition collection is inspired by the quirky 1991 film Drop Dead Fred, where a childhood imaginary friend returns to cause chaos in a woman’s life, but ends up ultimately helping her escape a toxic marriage. This collection launches on October 22nd 2021 at 2 PM EST. Don’t forget to check out my swatch video of all the shades at the end of this post!

My thoughts on the formula

Overall, I am happy with their formula. This is my first experience with the Glam Polish formula and all of the shades applied smoothly, layered well, self levelled, and dried within a reasonable amount of time. The brush is very thin, but I didn’t find that it caused any streaking problems. I have not been able to do a wear test with these shades, so if you are familiar with the Glam Polish wear time, please comment down below to share your experience!

The MEGA B*TCH!

The MEGA B*TCH! is a cool light pink holographic with small holo glitters. I found this shade quite sheer, but it layered well and the finished look was well worth it! Those little holo glitters really make it too! Here I used three coats, one coat of a smoothing top coat and another of a glossy top coat to knock out any texture. The last two pictures show this shade matte.

Hey Snot Face!

Hey Snot Face! is a white crelly filled with two sizes of pink, purple and blue glitters as well as gold flakies. This is such a cute crelly with an adorable glitter mix. The gold flakies really add something special too. Here I used two coats, one coat of a smoothing top coat and another of a glossy top coat to knock out any texture. The last two pictures show this shade matte.

Girls are Dis-gus-ting!

Girls are Dis-gus-ting! is a neon green jelly packed with iridescent flakies and aurora shimmer. Now this shade is BRIGHT! The flakies in this shade are really nice and they all laid flat. Depending on your application style and nail length you will likely prefer 2-3 coats. Here I used two coats but in my swatch video I actually ended up using three. Here I also used one coat of a smoothing top coat and another of a glossy top coat to knock out any texture. The last two pictures show this shade matte.

Thoughts on the Drop Dead Fred Trio

Overall, I think this collection of shades really matches the inspiration! I also love that you have multiple finishes to choose from: holographic, crelly with glitters and jelly with flakies! But why choose one when you can have them all?
