Hey everyone! I’m here to share Maniology’s September Mani X Me Box*. I think a lot of people were glad that this box was still spooky after the Little Box of Horrors was released and sold out so quickly. This box is available for purchase until September 22nd, so make sure you get it before you miss out! You can also check out my past reviews of this subscription box here.

September 2021: Pins & Needles

For September we received two quilting/patchwork/ragdoll-themed plates, orange and purple stamping polishes and a nail powder! I am very impressed with the designs on the plates this month because they are such a unique take on Halloween. The market is so saturated with Halloween designs, it must be so hard to come up with something new, and they managed it! The powder is a nice bonus too, that is light green in appearance but over black is an emerald green. I didn’t actually end up using the orange and purple stamping polishes for stamping, but they look fairly opaque and worked great for reverse stamping! They both have a nice metallic sheen to them.

Mani #1

For this first mani I wanted to feature the rag dolls on the plates.

Mani #2

This time I was inspired by the colour palette that came with the box (the two polishes) and the first mani that Maniology themselves posted!

Final Thoughts

I think the plates in this box are some of the most impressive in a while. Now I LOVED last months box, so it’s kind of amazing that they topped themselves this month. The designs on these plates are also super versatile and the manis you create don’t have to be ‘in your face’ Halloween-inspired. There are lots of quilting images and other little goodies hiding here and there that can be used for other purposes.

Watch my video tutorials below to see how I created these manis!
