Hey everyone! For the month of August I have decided to participate in a nail art challenge hosted by Bianka,@nbnailart. Bianka seems to host nail art challenges every month, also under the dedicated account @glamnailschallenge. I absolutely love the quality of the manis this girl creates, so I’m excited to participate in this latest challenge!
The third prompt for this challenge was Paisley. For this mani I wanted to keep it relatively simple, since the paisley pattern itself is so detailed and delicate. I was craving a periwinkle and white theme and used the plate A003 Paisley Buffet from What’s Up Nails. This is a full plate design with so many different patterns, allowing all of your nails to be unique!
- For this manicure, I started by applying my favourite base coat, Orly Bonder, to all of my nails.
- I painted all of my nails a periwinkle blue, China Glaze Boho Blues.
- I then used the What’s Up Nails A003 Paisley Buffet stamping plate to transfer different parts of the pattern on to each nail using a white stamping polish (Born Pretty #4). My favourite jelly stamper is from What’s Up Nails, and I always use a liquid latex to protect my cuticles from polish.
- I finished off the mani by applying the Maniology No Smudge Nail Polish Top Coat (Use code SUPERNOVA10 to save 10% off Maniology purchases (affiliate)), followed by my regular glossy top coat (Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat). Lastly, I added a matte top coat (Orly Matte Top).
I think this is the perfect summer manicure. Simple, but pretty!
