Hey everyone! Long time no see. I have just been absolutely swamped with work. It has made me sad that I haven’t had as much time to devote to blogging, but this teaching position I have started is a great opportunity for me. And just because you haven’t seen much content on here lately, doesn’t mean I haven’t been working on anything! I will have a “wearable” blue eye tutorial coming up, I’ve been swatching the Zoya Summer 2019 collection, and I have gotten my hands on some of the new Cover FX Monochromatic Blush Duos. So content is coming!!
Now getting on to today’s post, as usual I love to talk about my favourites of the month, whether they be new or old. Because I’m so late to do April’s Fave Five, we might as well group May in there too!
Too Faced Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush “Sparkling Bellini”
This is a blush that I actually bought second hand off of someone a year or two ago (I sanitized it thoroughly of course). These boxed blushes from Too Faced as so old school, but this variety of peachy shades are so gorgeous! Glowy blushes are so popular right now, and this one fits right in with that trend. It comes with three shades that can be used separately, but I usually just mix them all together. The result is the prettiest peachy flush with a beautiful sheen!

NYX Matte Liquid Liner
I’m constantly looking for the next best liquid liner and I am very happy with this contender! This is a longer brush liner that is thin enough to give you some real precision. I still prefer drawing my wings with a pen-type liner, so I only use this one for my lash line. The best thing about this liner is that it is pretty matte, and it NEVER bleeds!! I don’t think I’ve really found a eyeliner pen that doesn’t bleed yet, so this is a great alternative. Also, it’s only $10 CAD!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade “Soft Brown”
Now if you are familiar at all with some of the products I use regularly, you will know that I have been using this pomade for about 4 years now. I have recently started drawing my brows in thicker, and this pomade makes it so easy. I have also recently switched up my shade. I usually use Medium Brown, but I have now switched to Soft Brown, with the hope that I could perhaps start making my brows a little lighter. Well honestly, the shades don’t seem any different, but regardless I’m still pretty happy with how my brows have been looking lately. But overall, I’m always looking to improve them!
Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo “Chocolate”
I have also been integrating a brow powder into my routine now that I am making my brows thicker. I find that the powder can help make the transition from my real brow to the drawn in part below my brow a litter more seamless. After applying my pomade, I simply add a bit of powder and it helps add just a bit more pigment. I usually only use the darker cooler shade in the duo. I’m thinking I might want to get a lighter shade if I really do want my brows to lighten up a bit.

Colourpop Dream St. Eyeshadow Palette
I know I’ve featured this palette multiple times on here, but I just don’t stop loving it. It has a great selection of neutrals and I truly do love the blues. Because I’ve been working this more formal job, I’ve been wearing a lot more neutral looks and this palette certainly fits that bill. Also, the blue eye tutorial that I mentioned earlier features this palette! As you can see in the picture below, this palette has been well loved!
Well that’s it for my April and May Fave Five!
Great picks! I always think about picking Dream Street up, but I have so many neutral palettes with blues in them! I do think it looks gorgeous, though!

Fair enough! I’ve often thought about picking up a back up… That’s how much I like it!

Wow, that is a really well-loved palette! ColourPop was (is?) having a 30% off sale on their entire website and I thought about buying Dream St due to all of the good reviews…but I just bought two palettes from Sephora lol.
The Too Faced blush is SUCH a pretty colour! I missed out on these blushes when they were out at the time, but the packaging is cute!
Okay, I need to put that NYX liner on my list, it is SO matte and black! It looks draw a wing with it would be difficult for me haha, but like you said, it would be good for the lashline!
