Hey everyone! Today I wanted to share with you two nail art manicures I created with February’s Maniology Mani X Me Monthly Express Kit. This is my second month getting this subscription, so it is still very new to me. If you missed January’s space-themed post, you can check it out here!
The Mani X Me Monthly Box is a subscription service that delivers you Maniology nail art goodies every month. There are two different options: The Monthly Club and the Express Kit.
Monthly Club ($25 USD per month)
- 2 Exclusive Stamping Plates – Just for members!
- 2 New Coordinated Stamping Polishes
- A Surprise Gift Every Month
- Free U.S. Shipping
- Free Stamper & Scraper Set with your first express kit
Express Kit ($18 USD per month)
- 2 Exclusive Stamping Plates – Just for members!
- A Surprise Gift Every Month
- Free U.S. Shipping
- Free Stamper & Scraper Set with your first express kit
I am currently getting the Express kit since the only difference is that you don’t get the stamping polishes, and I’m mainly interested in building up my stamping plate collection! With shipping ($4 USD to Canada), in CAD the price turns out to be just over $30 CAD.
So let’s get into this month’s box!
February: Dreamland
February’s Mani X Me captures all of your wildest dreams. Inspired by Kirigami, the Japanese art of paper cutting, each item in this month’s package will take your imagination on a journey of lights, shadows and silhouettes.
This month’s express kit comes with two dreamy nail stamping plates featuring animals, florals, crystals and geometric shapes and frames, and four sheets of iridescent nail striping stickers (wavy and straight).
Manicure 1
For the first manicure I decided to feature the jars with crystals on the second plate, as well as the wavy striping tape. I was recently swatching the Zoya Innocence Spring 2019 collection, which I will be posting next week, and I knew that I wanted to feature Zoya Fern in this mani. I kept this mani pretty simple, using a silver stamping polish to transfer the designs, and using the reverse stamping method to fill in the crystals with different colours from Zoya as well. I then stamped over all the designs once on the nail with a holo stamping polish to add an ethereal touch!

- Orly Bonder Rubberized Base Coat

Manicure 2
Upon receiving this month’s box, I initially envisioned a pastel gradient mani with white details, which is what I did for this second mani! I also knew I absolutely had to feature the cat stamp; it’s so cute! After creating the gradient with a cosmetic sponge, I used the bottom half of one of the frame designs on the first plate to act as a kind of faux french design at the tip, with the full frame used on the ring finger. I then used the reverse stamping method with the cat design to fill in with shades that I used in the gradient itself. I finished off the design by adding some reverse stamped flowers to the frame on the ring finger from the second plate. I think all the elements in this one tied in really well!

Final Thoughts
Overall, while this month’s kit included so many cool designs, I did find it a bit of a head scratcher. The designs are just so…random. Which isn’t really a bad thing. Having it be so random does ensure no one already has anything like it.. But I did have some issues trying to think up cohesive manis. Regardless, I am still enjoying this subscription. It is reasonably priced and definitely does a lot to inspire new nail art!
Also, I CANNOT wait for March’s kit!!! The theme is Pure Aloha and it has tropical flower and bird designs!! I literally can not contain my excitement for bird stamping lol. Stay tuned for that later this month!
Have you ever tried stamping or thought about getting into it? Have you tried Maniology products before? Let us know!
Disclaimer: I am a Maniology Ambassador (use code SUPERNOVA10 for 10% off your Maniology purchases), however, I purchase this kit every month with my own money and I am definitely not trying to sell you anything. Ambassador codes do not work with this subscription service, however they can be put towards other products, should you want to save some money and support a small scale blogger who puts a lot of money into content.
I can’t wait to see the Aloha kit next month! That sounds much more up my alley than this month, though I do like the designs you came up with. So far I love the idea of this subscription! If I can ever get the hang of doing a solid colour on my nails I might try it lol

Yess I’m so excited! I’m a sucker for anything floral, and the birds are so fun! I am a total bird lover and enjoy bird watching so the idea of bird nail art really tickles me lol.

And it’s such a great theme for Spring now that the birds will all start migrating back!

You did such an amazing job with this! I thought about doing the subscription box after you mentioned that it might be a good way to begin my stamping collection. but I looked at the randomness of the plate and thought I wouldn’t know what to do with it lol.
I love how different your two manis look from each other! The pastel one is so dreamy and goes perfectly with the theme of the plate 🙂

Yeah I think this month’s box would have been a difficult one for you to start with. Apparently you can skip months if you just email them; they usually reveal in the last week of the month what the next kit will be so I think I will be more vigilant next time. I think I need to be more careful with which plates I’m adding to my collection since, just like makeup, things can quickly get out of control!
