Hey everyone! Today I want to share with you what I think is the epitome of Pumpkin Spice: a sparkly orange mani! I’ve mentioned it before, and I’ll mention it again, Fall is the most inspiring time for me with manicures. Although this one is simple, it’s simply gorgeous!
- For this manicure, I started by applying my favourite base coat (Orly Bonder) and 2 coats of a burnt orange shade. I used KL Polish Cha Cha Cha, but OPI It’s a Piazza Cake is very similar too, and another favourite of mine. Let this dry before continuing on.
- Here comes the part that makes the mani: the sparkly orange shade. OPI A Woman’s Prague-ative might be my favourite nail polish of all time, and that’s what I used. This shade is an orange-y bronze that has an incredible bright orange sparkle. It’s seriously the dream Fall shade. It is from the OPI Euro Centrale collection which is discontinued, but maybe you can find this shade from some retailer! In any case, any orange metallic or sparkly orange will do.
To incorporate this shade into the mani, I painted some onto a cosmetic sponge, and dabbed it onto the tips of my nails, going 3/4 of the way up the nail. Repeat this step until you are happy with the opacity. To make clean up easier, you can always paint a liquid latex around the cuticle in advance, but I didn’t do that this time for whatever reason. The one’s I use are either Bliss Kiss Simply Peel or the Mini Mani Moo Mess No More Liquid Nail Art Tape. Simply Peel works better but Mess No More is more accessible (can be purchased at Sally’s) and does the job well enough. - I then applied a fast drying top coat (Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat) to all of my nails. See, it’s so simple!
You know, at first when I did this mani, I wasn’t sure that I loved it. Well I’m over the moon now! The difference is seeing it shimmer in the sunlight! All the Fall feels.
Ooh, Nova! I am in love with these nails. I wish I had the talent and patience to do mine like this!
