Hey everyone! Welcome back to Wow! or Waste? Whether a whole collection has been launched, or just a new product, I’m going to evaluate whether each product is either a Wow! buy or a Waste? of money, in terms of the price and the amount of product you get.
This time around we are evaluating the new Too Faced Tutti Frutti Collection, which is now available on the Too Faced website and is an Ulta exclusive.
“BE THE LIFE OF THE PARTY WITH JUICY COLOR & SPARKLE.
Introducing the new fabulous and fruity line that makes it impossible not to be the life of the party. These feminine pops of color infused with juicy scents and party-ready sparkle turn any moment into a celebration.”
For all of the items I cover, for whatever reason there really haven’t been swatches of the products made available. So if you are looking for swatches, scroll to the end of this post for an Instragram post by Trendmood1 where she has swatched almost all of the products in the collection.
Because there are so many products in this Tutti Frutti Collection, I will be breaking it up into two parts. Today I will discuss the first half of the products, and tomorrow I will discuss the rest, so be sure to check back so that you can see whether the items you are interested in are a Wow! or a Waste?

Price and Quantity
These eyeshadow palettes are priced at $42 CAD ($34 USD) and have 0.21 oz of product each.
For comparisons to other products, I have chosen other high end mini palettes that are popular or new at retailers like Sephora and Ulta. Although the colour schemes in these palettes aren’t anything new, I really didn’t see any miniature palettes that were similar. Therefore, if you are totally in love with either colour-scheme and the fact that they are mini, value might not be important to you.
Here are the comparisons listed from best value to worst value:
Rank | Product | Cost ($ CAD) |
Quantity (oz) | Number of Shades | Cost-Quantity Ratio for 1 oz of product |
1 | Huda Beauty Obsessions | $35 | 0.45 | 9 | $78/oz |
2 | Kat Von D MetalMatte Mini Eyeshadow Palette | $53 | 0.6 | 10 | $88/oz |
3 | Smashbox Cover Shot: Eye Palettes | $35 | 0.27 | 8 | $130/oz |
4 | Viseart Petit PRO 2 Eyeshadow Palette | $38 | 0.28 | 8 | $136/oz |
5 | Too Faced Tutti Frutti Eyeshadow Palettes | $42 | 0.21 | 7 | $200/oz |
6 | Natasha Denona Mini Lila Eyeshadow Palette | $30 | 0.14 | 5 | $214/oz |
7 | Marc Jacobs Eye-Conic Multi-Finish “Scandalust” | $64 | 0.21 | 7 | $305/oz |
Wow! or Waste?
Overall, the value of these palettes lean more on the Waste? side. The fact that the value is similar to Natasha Denona is a pretty big indicator of that. However, like I mentioned before, if you are in love with either colour scheme, then that may be the deciding factor for you. But let’s be real, neither of them are anything special. They are cute for sure, but the pineapple one is literally neutral with one green, and the berry one has all sorts of berry tones that have been done before. It kind of looks like the Urban Decay Backtalk palette. But the packaging is to die for!

These liquid eyeshadows are priced at $26 CAD ($22 USD) and have 0.21 oz of product.
For comparisons to other products, I have chosen other high end liquid eyeshadows.

7 | Stila Glitter & Glow | $31 | 0.15 | 17 | $207/oz |
8 | Cover FX Shimmer Veil | $34 | 0.14 | 6 | $243/oz |
Wow! or Waste?
Looks like these liquid eyeshadows are a Wow! Unfortunately I haven’t seen any swatches of these, so it is hard to know how opaque they may be. If they are pretty opaque, then they will certainly perform better than the UD Heavy Metal Liners, since those are mostly glitter in a clear-ish base. They seem to come in a good selection of shades as well! I’m definitely curious about these!

These lipglosses are priced at $24 CAD ($20 USD) and have 0.24 oz of product.
It’s hard to know how opaque these lipglosses are, but it’s kind of hard to believe that they are as opaque as they appear in those lip swatches! From the looks of them though, they look like they might be similar to the Smashbox Be Legendary Liquid Lips or the Pretty Vulgar My Lips Are Sealed Liquid Lipsticks, which are super opaque liquified lipsticks (that do not dry down) that have a ton of shine and a really plushy/cushiony texture. Regardless, for comparisons to other products, I have chosen other high end lipglosses that have more of a pearl to them (they aren’t just a cream).
Here are the comparisons listed from best value to worst value:

10 | Pretty Vulgar My Lips Are Sealed Liquid Lipstick | $29 | 0.1 | 8 | $290/oz |
Wow! or Waste?
Tied for first place, these lipglosses are absolutely a Wow! If you have been looking for a super opaque and shiny lipgloss, then these might be for you! I LOVE the looks of Fruit Punch and and Plum Crazy!

This foundation is priced at $45 CAD ($36 USD) and has 1.35 oz of product. Usually I don’t actually do a comparison between foundations since usually the amount of product included is standardized at 1 oz. But clearly that isn’t the case here!
For comparisons to other products, I have chosen other high end foundations that are supposed to give you a natural to dewy, hydrated finish with medium to full coverage.
Here are the comparisons listed from best value to worst value:
Rank | Product | Cost ($ CAD) |
Quantity (oz) | Number of Shades | Cost-Quantity Ratio for 1 oz of product |
1 | Too Faced Dew You Full-Coverage Fresh Glow Foundation | 45 | 1.35 | 20 | $33/oz |
2 | IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream with SPF 50+ | 49 | 1.08 | 10 | $45/oz |

6 | NARS Radiant Longwear Foundation | 60 | 1.01 | 33 | $59/oz |
Wow! or Waste?
Oh look, another Wow! Ranking in first place, this might be your next dream foundation! If you have dry skin or crave that dewy, healthy finish, you might want to give this a try! Unfortunately the shade range is not that extensive, although it does appear to be pretty evenly balanced. But they could stand to expand the range on either side of the spectrum.

This setting spay is priced at $38 CAD ($30 USD) and has 3.4 oz of product.
For comparisons to other products, I have chosen other high end setting sprays that have micro-shimmer/pearl.
Here are the comparisons listed from best value to worst value:
Rank | Product | Cost ($ CAD) |
Quantity (oz) | Cost-Quantity Ratio for 1 oz of product |
1 | MAC Prep + Prime Fix+ Shimmer | $26 | 3.4 | $8/oz |
2 | Too Faced Festival Refresh Spray | $32 | 3.4 | $9/oz |
3 | Cover FX Illuminating Setting Spray | $39 | 4 | $10/oz |
4 | Too Faced Dew You Fresh Glow Setting Spray | $38 | 3.4 | $11/oz |
5 | Smashbox Petal Metal Shimmer Spray | $50 | 3.9 | $13/oz |
Wow! or Waste?
Overall, compared to other products this radiant setting spray is a Waste? However, they are all so close in value it really doesn’t matter that much. Depending on what look you are going for, I wouldn’t worry about deciding between any of these.

Pt. 1 Collection Value Review
Overall, the items that I covered today really had great value! The only items that were lacking were the eyeshadow palettes and the setting spray. However, if you find that you are just really wanting those items, and you think that they are unique, you might as well go for i! Value is only one part of the equation when deciding whether you should buy something or not.

Such a beautiful collection! I could never pull off those eye palettes but they are so gorgeous!

It is really beautiful! The packaging is to die for, for quite a few of the items! I think you could pull off the eyeshadow palettes! They are actually pretty neutral-friendly!

I really appreciate how you break these down for your readers. I have to admit, the eyeshadow palettes are tempting, but not as tempting as before. I think I’ll wait for a sale.

I think the packaging of the eyeshadow palettes is the most tempting part for me! If I were to get one, it would definitely be the berry one, although the sparkly packaging on the pineapple one is the best!

I so can’t decide whether or not I’m into this collection. It still feels juvenile, like many of the recent Tarte launches, which I’m not exactly into, being a 28 year old women and all. And yet the teeny-bopper in me is strangely drawn to the fruit scents…agghhh. Can’t decide. I’ll have to wait until people start reviewing the collection to decide if I’m going to purchase anything although the lipglosses look amazing and the setting spray has my attention…

I agree that it can tend to lean that way, but I think this collection is much less childish than the rest of their collections this year. I’m tempted by the blush compacts the most I think!

I want the eyeshadow palettes just for the packaging which is why I’m not going to buy them (aside from the fact that they’re only at Ulta). The colour schemes really aren’t interesting once you separate the shades from the packaging!
I really want to see some reviews of that foundation, it sounds amazing! I would order it but I need to see some real swatches first, I’m surprised that I haven’t seen these products in PR anywhere but trendmood :S

Yes I want the eyeshadow palettes for the packaging too! I’m glad we are learning to restrain ourselves (sometimes 😅). It’s hard since you can’t really return the item if the shade isn’t right! I know… where’s the PR? We need information people!

That’s the main thing, If I could return it I might splurge just to try it!
I’m sure the PR will come flooding in next week haha

The packaging is sooo stinking cute, I kinda want it all for that alone. I just don’t know if I like any of the stuff enough to buy it.

I feel exactly the same way! I probably won’t, to be honest.
