June Fave Five

Hey everyone! I’m a little late with my end of the month posts, largely due to the fact that I was out of the country for the end of June and the first week of July. No internet access made keeping up a little tricky. But in rapid succession I will be taking care of end of the month business.

You will notice that my Fave Five for this month includes mostly new products. But, I do have one rediscovered old favourite. You will also notice that the products are dominated by one brand! You love what you love!

Juvia’s Place Zulu Palette

While this is certainly not an every day palette, this eyeshadow palette has given me so much pleasure over the last month. Colourful looks can be so fun, and this palette provides a great rainbow of selection, at a very high quality. While the mattes in this palette were mostly great, the metallics were hands-down the best part. You can check out my full review, swatches and 3 looks that I created with this palette here.

Becca X Chrissy Teigen Glow Face Palette

When this face palette came out last year, I was STUNNED! It is seriously the best summer face palette. Both of the highlighters are the usual amazing Becca quality, and I remember being positively obsessed with the bronzer. The strange thing is that this palette was supposedly limited edition, but it’s still available on the Sephora website now, over a year later??? Anyways, I guess that’s good news for anyone that’s still interested! You can read my original review here.

Becca Gradient Sunlit Bronzer “Sunset Waves”

I have to admit something to you. I’m a little obsessed with bronzers. And this is my newest and most favouritest (yes, that’s a word) yet!! Sunset Waves was exactly what I was looking for in a summery sunkissed bronzer. The undertone pulls more red, which better mimics a suntan than more golden bronzers. Check out my full review here, which also includes comparison swatches to other bronzers.

Becca Glow Lip Gloss “Rose Gold”

Alright. Last month the shade “Tigerlily” made it onto my Fave Five. Now it’s Rose Gold’s turn! I just knew I was going to like this shade. This gloss has a surprising amount of pigmentation for a nude, and I love it! The rosy-brown tone is also perfect for the summer. I love these glosses! Check out my original review here.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil “Deep End”

This summer I have been trying to branch out into colourful lower lash lines, and this pencil has been my gateway drug. This pencil is such a beautiful shade of metallic blue, it really is the best way to make a look pop during the summer. I just featured it last week in my Eye Look of the Week. And if you read my Shopper’s Drug Mart Haul, you will know that I got this for free with their loyalty program! So awesome!

And here are all of the swatches for my June Fave Five!

Well that’s it for my June Fave Five! What were your favourite products of the month? Have you tried any of these? Comment down below!

  1. Amazing post! I would love to try Juvia’s palettes, all of them look so nice!! I also would love to try more products by Becca, that bronzer and lipgloss look so nice

    1. Thanks so much! You definitely should try at least one Juvia’s Place palette if you can get your hands on one! They are pretty affordable and the quality seems to be really excellent. Becca has started to take over my collection a bit, haha 🙂

  2. I am obsessing over that Chrissy Teigen face palatte! Those shades sound so beautifully warm and shimmery! Thank you for the awesome suggestions 🙂

    1. It is seriously so gorgeous. I was obsessed with it when I first got it, but then proceeded to forget about it when it became winter and the shades became too deep for me. I’m so glad that I decided to pick it up again this summer! Luckily it’s still on Sephora too for those who want to pick it up now!

  3. I agree with Joy! Amazing post! I love colorful eyeliners to add a pop to the waterline so I am dying to try the Urban Decay Eyeliner in Deep End that you have featured here! The bronzer and lip gloss also look stunning! XO!

    1. Thank you! Deep end is so stunning and the lasting power is pretty good! Blue is obviously a very popular colour this summer!

    1. Yess it’s so gorgeous! It’s kind of strange that it is still available, but all the better since it’s a great product!

  4. I love how summery and glowy all your choices are! That Zulu palette looks so fun to play with, I love all the colours.
I have added that Urban Decay pencil to my wishlist, it sounds so easy to use and I love colourful lower lash lines!
