Hello everyone! If you have been a reader for a while, you will know that I have a series that I created called Palette Roulette, where I randomly select an eyeshadow palette that I have to use for a whole week. And then after the fact, I show you the looks that I came up with and give you an overall review of the palette. Because of being so busy with school, I haven’t been able to contribute to that series in a while, because posts in that series takes hours upon hours to produce. But don’t worry, Palette Roulette will be coming back in about a month! But until then, I would love to feature one eyeshadow look a week.
This week I finally got a few palettes from Juvias Place, one being the Zulu Palette. Upon opening it and taking my first look, my eyes were immediately drawn to the green and teal shades. I don’t often play with greens, which is crazy, because green looks great with brown eyes and I created a green look around Christmas that I loved! So it was time to play with greens again.
To accomplish this look I used the following shades:
- I built up the matte teal through the crease. I was incredibly impressed by this teal shade. You can’t see this in the final eye look, but it was so bright, blended easily, and built up so well.
- I applied the matte warm brown to the outer corner, building it up and dragging the remainder into the crease. I didn’t want the crease to be very bright, because 1) I was going to school and 2) I wanted the lid to be the star of the show. The result of mixing the teal with the warm brown was a mossy green shade, which was so pretty!
- I applied a white concealer to the lid to cut the crease and pressed on the teal blue shimmer onto the lid with my finger. This shimmer was so smooth and finely milled, and it looked just stunning on the lid!
Overall, I was super impressed with how this palette performed and it was so fun to produce a colourful look for once! What are your favourite colours to play with?
