Hello everyone, long time no see! How have you all been? Well, it’s just about June, and I’m sort of excited! While it means deadlines are approaching rapidly (scary), it also means that they are almost over (yay). Well, let’s not get too excited. That’s all still a month away (but I’m kind of excited…).
While I have been sort of MIA over the last month, I have still been playing with makeup. Because if I didn’t I would be dead inside. But I have certainly gravitated towards certain products for the every day. So here are my May Fave Five!
PS, all of the roses in these pics are from my garden! I can’t believe how saturated they are in colour!
Stila Shimmer & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow “Jezebel”
If you didn’t already notice from the overall photos, I’ve really been into pink products this month! This liquid eyeshadow is no exception! “Jezebel” is such a pretty rose gold shade. This was my first experience with the Shimmer & Glow formula, and it’s really nice and easy to work with! I was surprised though, because there are still glitter flecks in this, so it’s not just shimmer, but it is mostly shimmer. I really don’t experience much fall out from this throughout the day, so that’s a bonus, since I know some people have had trouble with the Glitter & Glow formula.
Hourglass Vanish Flash Highlighting Stick “Pink Flash”
This isn’t the first time that I’ve featured these highlighters on my blog, or even in my Fave Five, but this time around I am super obsessed with the shade “Pink Flash”. I don’t know what it is, but it is just so gorgeous! These cream highlighters just give you such a beautiful radiance and they don’t accentuate texture at all. Check out my full review here.
Becca Glow Lip Gloss “Tigerlily”
This gloss is my new obsession. All the brands are coming out with new glosses lately, but this one is a winner for sure. The formula strikes the perfect balance between being too thin and too viscous. It’s not sticky, and the pigmentation is actually pretty amazing! This shade “Tigerlily” is the perfect saturated coral gloss for the summer. Paired with a bronze eye, smokin!! I’m definitely interested in purchasing more shades of this gloss, and I will be doing a dedicated review on them!
Here are all the swatches again:
Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam
I know this isn’t a surprise. You know, when I originally purchased this, I wasn’t so sure. I knew it was pretty neutral, maybe even bordering on boring, but I really did think the shades were beautiful. I also justified it to myself that it could become my everyday palette, although I’m not sure I had entirely convinced myself before getting my hands on it. Well, guess what? I have probably used this palette every day for the last month. When I went travelling across the country, this is the palette that I took with me. And I am very alarmed to say that I have already hit pan on two of the shades!! Help! What do I do!? Might have to get a back up… Check out my original review and some eye looks here.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit “Light to Medium”
Since I’ve started tanning this year, I have started using this contour kit more and more. I bought this over a year ago now, and I have always used the lighter powder to set under the eye sometimes (there’s some massive pan in that one), and my every day contour shade is “Fawn” (mini pan going on there). But now that I’m getting more tan, I’ve been dipping into the two deeper bronze shades to use as my bronzer! One of them has more red in it, which is perfect to mimic a sun tan since my body has been a bit more red in tone. These powders blend so smoothly, and I am so happy to be getting more use out of them!
Well that’s it for my May Fave Five! What were your favourite products of the month? Have you tried any of these? Comment down below!

Everything in this post looks soooo beautiful. Also, I cannot believe how gorgeous your roses are. Mine haven’t even started budding, but even when they are in full bloom they’re not nearly as pretty.
I recently bought Jezebel for a girlfriend for her birthday because she said she wanted that specific shade – didn’t realize how stunning and metallic it is!
I am floored that you have hit pan on two shades of the Soft Glam palette. Just shocked, LOL. I’ve never seen anyone hit pan within a few months!

Thanks so much! It’s already been summer-y weather here for the last month, so that has helped a lot with the garden! I definitely have some great varieties. The latest one I purchased is called Judy Garland. You should definitely check that one out! It puts out red/orange/yellow blooms!
You definitely did your friend a huge favour by getting her it! I never thought that I could justify buying those liquid eyeshadows because they are so expensive, but I got two during a Shopper’s points event, and I am so happy that I did!
Haha I know…. What the heck. Well if it’s ever going to happen that fast, guaranteed it would be with an ABH palette since they only give 1/3 the amount of product that over brands do in eyeshadow palettes. I think that I might just get singles of the ones that I use the most, since you get more product that way!

It’s such a pretty shade! And the gloss is very comfortable and actually leaves behind quite a bit of pigment as it wears off. It kind of sets down over time.

Love the picks! I have to get this Stila eyeshadow now lol. Did you notice that you hit pan pretty quick on the Soft Glam Palette?

The Stila shadows are soo gorgeous. It’s too bad that they are so expensive though! I did hit pan pretty quick, but I was using it almost every day for more than a month and I used those two shades every single time so I do think that it makes sense.
