Hey everyone! Long time no see!
Well, I’m back from Newfoundland and have literally dove right into my next project: finishing my masters thesis. Things are only going to get busier, as I have to submit by the end of June. So I hope to be able to keep posting semi-regularly. If not, I’m not going to sweat it, because there are so many other wonderful blogs you can visit in the mean time, like Always Cleia, Polished and Inspired, The Beauty Swatcher, Makeup By Erin and Emily Burns MUA blog!
Honestly, I can’t believe that I am not posting this haul until a month after the Sephora Spring Sale started… How sad. I had meant for this to go up while I was in Newfoundland, but it just wasn’t possible with my schedule.
One reason why this has been so delayed is because I placed multiple orders over the two weeks that the sale took place. Like 4 orders. At least. So, it took a while for everything to arrive, and then I went away. One plus side though is that I have been using these products, so I can give you my first impressions on them! So let’s get into it!
Natasha Denona Eyeshadow Palette 5 – Holiday Edition “Aeris”
Price: $43 CAD for 5 X 0.08 oz
I couldn’t believe it when I saw that this palette went on sale the first day of the second week of the VIB sale. Usually these palettes go for $60 CAD, so getting it for $43 CAD with an extra 15% off was a total winner for me!
I have really enjoyed using the Natasha Denona Mini Sunset Palette, so I was very excited to get my hands on this one. The shades are so beautiful, but this might not be an all-in-one palette for full looks. You only get one matte, and that is that bright red. I did do a full look with it yesterday using Nude and Burnt Terracotta and it was really pretty, but very red. I think from now on I will use it in combination with the Mini Sunset palette as well, since that one has great matte crease shades. As far as I can tell, the quality of these shadows is great! That blue is something special!
NARS Highlighting Powder “Fort de France”
Price: $50 CAD for 0.49 oz
This highlighter is probably one of the smoothest powders out there. It is a medium gold shade that is very finely milled and extremely buildable. Because it is so finely milled, it really doesn’t exaggerate texture. I think it is very beautiful, and I am happy that I got it. However, is it just another gold highlighter? I’m not sure. I have been using it non-stop since I got it though, so I truly do love it! I am curious about the other shades, that’s for sure!
Kat Von D Studded Kiss Crème Lipstick “Lovecraft”
Price: $23 CAD for 0.12 oz
Ever since I received the Kat Von D Studded Kiss Creme Lipstick in the shade “Lolita” through Influenster, I have wanted to get another shade! The formula is so incredibly comfortable and creamy, and has a satin-matte finish. The shade “Lovecraft” is such a pretty mauve pink, which is perfect for year round, but especially the spring!
Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Gloss “Kristen”
Price: $21 CAD for 0.16 oz
I’ve mentioned this quite a few times, so I will just gloss over it here (get it?). ABH lipglosses are my favourite, and Kristen is by far my favourite shade. After running through a full tube of this, I repurchased, and then immediately lost that tube. What. The. Fuck. So I had to repurchase again here, because I can’t live without it! Now that’s loyalty!
BECCA Glow Lip Gloss “Opal”
Price: $27 CAD for 0.18 oz
Honestly, I was not at all impressed with the shade of this lipgloss. The opal highlighter is seriously one of the most beautiful highlighters on the market, so I had high hopes for this gloss. It did look pretty in the tube, but when applied, it was just kind of like a milky nude that had no dimension to it. It was completely underwhelming. However, I have since exchanged this shade for the shade “Tigerlily” and I freaking love it! It is SUCH a pretty shade for spring and summer, I am OBSESSED! The gloss is very comfortable, and pigmented too! I will be doing a full review on this product soon, I am sure!
Jack Black Moisture Therapy Lip Balm SPF 25
Price: $10.50 CAD for 0.25 oz
This is definitely one of my favourite lip balms on the market. I have had very dry lips for the last 3 years probably, and this has saved them. It is on the thicker side, so it is very conditioning. If you prefer something slightly less thick, but still nourishing, I would suggest the Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith’s Lip Balm in “Tropical Ambrosia”. That specific flavour seems to have a different consistency (a bit thicker) from the other Smith’s balms, which I like! Unfortunately, you can only find it in store in the checkout area, it’s not online! Why?!
Guerlain Mon Guerlain
Price: $119 CAD for 1.7 oz
Well I bit the bullet and got a perfume! I can totally see this Mon Guerlain becoming my signature scent! It is soft but so so delicious. The main notes are vanilla, lavender and jasmine. From the ingredients, I wouldn’t think that this would be my kind of scent, but they combine together to make something truly amazing!
LANEIGE Eye Sleeping Mask
Price: $44 CAD for 0.8 oz
Ever since I had heard that this eye sleeping mask was coming out, I had wanted to try it. It’s a great deal for the amount of product you get. So far I am definitely liking it, but with something like this you need to try it for a long time before you can truly know. So far I have been using it 2-3 times per week in the evenings. It’s a little sticky when first absorbing, but that goes away, and you can pat it in with your fingers to speed up the process.
SUNDAY RILEY Good Genes All-In One Lactic Acid Treatment
Price: $200 CAD for 1.7 oz
Oh dear, here’s the big boy. I kind of can’t believe I went for it, but I really wanted to. I’m hoping that this lasts me a good 4 months!
CLINIQUE Moisture Surge 72-Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator
Price: $61 CAD for 2.5 oz
I actually bought two of these to stock up! This is my favourite moisturizer by far, although it is a bit expensive. But I haven’t yet found anything cheaper that works as well.
Point Perks
Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour
For whatever reason, I decided to spend 100 points to get this cream shadow stick. It was probably a waste, but I’m always curious about Laura Mercier products. I haven’t yet given this a try.
Here are all the swatches of the above-mentioned products.
Atelier Cologne Clémentine California Cologne Absolue Pure Perfume
Here is another point perk. I’m still deciding whether I like Atelier or not. Their scents are certainly very strong, but they are so long lasting! They probably have the longest lasting scents I have ever worn! So far I am not so sure about this scent. It smells like citrus rind mixed with soap…
Promotions and Samples
Drunk Elephant C-Tango Multivitamin Eye Cream
So, I actually sacrificed my 15% discount for one of my orders so that I could get this deluxe sample and the next. I was super interested in this eye cream, however it totally messed up the skin around my eyes within 2-3 uses. It gave me all sorts of texture, so it is garbage. I can’t recommend it to anyone!
Tatcha The Silk Canvas Face Primer
There has certainly been a lot of hype surrounding this product, so I really wanted to get it a try. However, I haven’t yet dipped into it! I am glad that I have it though. It is seriously the cutest travel size primer ever.
These are all the samples I got, which really shows you how many orders I placed. Lol.
Well, those are the items that I purchased in the Sephora VIB Spring Sale!
Have you tried any of these products? What is your favourite item that you purchased during the sale? Which items would you like to see a full review on? Comment down below!

I couldn’t believe it when that palette went on sale, especially since it was a holiday palette, so it was assumed to be gone forever! The blue is stunning, and I can’t wait to use it! I just used the Tatcha primer today, and so far so good!

Wow what a great haul! That Natasha Denona palette looks stunning; I can’t wait to see if you share a look with it, as you create such beautiful and creative eye looks 💕

I will definitely be doing a full post on it, even though it isn’t available anymore (pretty sure). I can’t wait to play more with it! You are so kind! 🙂

Oh my gosh, what a haul!
That Natasha Denona palette is gorgeous. I would not know what the heck to do with it, but I can’t wait to see what you create with it!
I’m so curious about Sunday Riley products, but the price stops me every time. I’m sitting there thinking “Are you really that much better than any of the acids/retinols/whatevers that are out there? REALLY?” not knowing if I should splurge or get a less expensive version from another brand!
Oooh, I would love to hear more about the Laneige Sleeping Eye mask! I’m running out of eye cream and I’m kind of itching to try sleeping eye masks for night.
Ugh, so sorry to hear that you gave up the 15% discount on an eye cream that didn’t work for you! What a waste.
I’ve decided I don’t like Atelier colognes either. I got two as a sample last year and on paper they should both smell nice, but they don’t.
Good luck on your thesis, girl!! It’s going to be grueling but so worth it!

Haha, it certainly was a haul… I let myself get a bit too carried away but oh well. So far I think that the Laneige eye sleeping mask is great! I haven’t noticed a reduction in fine lines, but my under eyes are definitely hydrated the next morning and I can’t believe how much product is in there for only $40!
Thank you so much for the good wishes! I’m going to try my best to finish it in time, but you’re right, it’s going to be grueling, and it already is!

Thanks girl! Oh man, I wish you did too! I don’t know how I would live without it! Although their rewards program could certainly use some improvements! But the access to the different brands is great!

I just got a sample of the Clinque moisturizer, and I actually think it doesn’t work nearly as well as the CeraVe lotion that I use. Have you tried them?
If you have, carry on liking your thing haha. Skin is weird.

Thank you for that recommendation! I haven’t used the lotion, but I use their hydrating cleanser! I’ll have to pick that up the next time it goes on sale! I usually stick with gel moisturizers because my skin can be finicky, but that one might work for me! No harm in trying, since I would really love to be able to save money on moisturizer!

That Nars highlight looks beautiful! I also can’t wait to hear what you think about the Tatcha primer, I’ve heard nothing but great things! I’m also in love with that Natasha palette, it just looks gorgeous! 😍

The NARS highlight really is gorgeous and I’m enjoying using it. The Tatcha primer is good so far, however I’m not jumping for joy over it. But that might just be primers for me. I really don’t get excited over them lol. The ND really is stunning, I still need to try it out more!

Yeah, I’ve heard the primer is good. I’m not huge on primers either. I don’t ever really see a huge difference.
