Radiance VoxBox | Overview + Reviews

Hey everyone! Today I wanted to give you the insider view into a VoxBox I received complimentary from Influenster, the Radiance VoxBox. I actually had a little oopsies moment today. I accidentally posted my notes on the Voxbox earlier this morning, because I had scheduled it a while ago because I was finding that my drafts weren’t saving unless I scheduled the post. Unfortunately, a few hours later I discovered my error, and one empathetic person had liked the post! Haha, thanks for the kindness. Anyways…

Don’t know what Influenster is? Influenster is an online community where you can review different products, ranging from beauty, family and home to food. Because of this, Influenster is a great resource that can help you make smart purchasing decisions, which I am all about. In addition to this, Influenster is constantly publishing really helpful articles that revolve around the release of new products. The major draw of this website is that, depending on your social media influence, you may even be sent complimentary items to test in exchange for your honest review of these products. These products come to you in a package called a “VoxBox”. I have received three VoxBoxes now. If you haven’t already, you can check out my other VoxBox posts below!

  1. Clairol Color Crave VoxBox
  2. Covergirl Vitalist VoxBox
  3. Kat Von D Studded Kiss VoxBox

Please know, that although I received these items free from Influenster, all thoughts and opinions expressed here and on my blog are always my own opinions and have not been solicited in any way.

So, if you would like to hear about this new VoxBox, then please keep reading!

Radiance VoxBox

This VoxBox came with four products:

  • Being by Sanctuary Shower Burst “Hibiscus & Coconut Water”
  • Clean & Clear Acne Triple Exfoliating Scrub
  • Flawless by Friday Flawless in 15 Under Eye Rescue
  • Revlon Revlon Kiss Balm Duo Pack

It seems to be that this VoxBox is themed around “Radiance”, making you look and feel radiant for the spring and summer, which sounds pretty amazing to me!

Let’s go ahead and do some flash reviews of the products that I received.

Being by Sanctuary Shower Burst

Suggested Retail Price: $15

I was actually so surprised by this product! It is like nothing else I have ever tried. This “Shower Burst” is a foaming shower gel that comes in four different tropical or fruity scents. I received the scent “Hibiscus & Coconut Water” and the scent is truly heavenly.

When you dispense the product into your hand, it comes out as a red gel. Then, when you rub your hands together, it foams up like crazy! The foam is very luxurious and definitely does the job of cleaning. However, I didn’t find that this product worked well with a loofa, because when it is mixed with water, it doesn’t foam up as well. So when you use it, make sure to dispense it into your hands only, and then rub your hands together, then apply. It’s ok if your hands are wet, just don’t drench the product. And just so you know, this product is now sold across Canada, and you can find it at Shopper’s Drug Mart. It actually looks like it is on sale right now!

Quick Take

  • Smells amazing!
  • Super unique product
  • Foams up really nicely and washes your body well
  • Avoid mixing with water

Clean & Clear Acne Triple Clear Exfoliating Scrub

acne scrub

Suggested Retail Price: $10.29

This mechanical exfoliator is supposed to help you fight acne in three different ways:

  1. It removes pore-clogging oils,
  2. it treats pimples with Salicylic acid while soothing the skin with aloe and mint,
  3. and it helps prevent future breakouts.

I actually think that this is such a great drugstore option for a mechanical exfoliator. It has just enough grit to help you get rid of any dead skin, but it isn’t at all harsh.

Salicylic acid is a common ingredient that is used to treat acne-ridden skin, and in this product it has a strength of 2%. Interestingly enough, I don’t notice any tingling when using this product, which Salicylic acid usually gives me. So I take that as a good thing, because I wouldn’t want to over-dry my skin, so this must be a good strength.

While I haven’t used this exfoliator a ton yet, because I try to be as gentle with my skin as possible, I do think that this is a good exfoliator. I’m not sure that it helps prevent acne, but maybe with regular use it would.

One important thing to note is that when you dispense it, you will notice little blue spheres in the clear gel medium. These are not plastic micro beads, which is clearly labelled on the packaging (thank you for being clear!). Plastic microbeads used to be a very common ingredient in hand soaps and mechanical exfoliators, but they are absolutely terrible for the environment, so I refuse to use any products that include them. I am so glad that Clean & Clear was very clear that these were not plastic microbeads, because I definitely would have been suspicious!

Quick Take

  • Gentle but effective exfoliator
  • Uses salicylic acid to treat and prevent acne
  • Includes aloe and mint to soothe the skin
  • Unsure whether it prevents future acne or not
  • Overall, a great drugstore option

Flawless by Friday Flawless is 15 Under Eye Rescue

Suggested Retail Price: $10

These under eye patches are meant to be a 15 minute treatment that treats under eye darkness and puffiness. I, not to brag, do not have dark under eyes and I do not get puffiness anymore (feels like the only things I do not suffer from out of 100 things), so take my review with a grain of salt. These $10 eye patches are only good for one treatment, so I think that is very expensive, and I would hope that they would be effective for such a high price.

First of all, these eye patches actually adhered so well! Literally no slippage, and they looked sort of cool on, with their metallic gold finish. On the side that was supposed to adhere to your under eye, the patches were slightly textured, almost with a mesh detail. Well, I found that that made these patches incredibly uncomfortable. I felt like something was poking me the whole time, and my under eyes almost felt itchy towards the end of the 15 minutes.

Afterwards, my under eyes did initially look very hydrated. However, as soon as the serum dried down, they looked just as dry as usual. I didn’t notice any brightness, nor did I notice any decrease in puffiness, but again, I don’t really suffer from those two issues.

Overall, I cannot recommend these patches, which is unfortunate since they adhered so well (a common problem among eye patches)!

Quick Take

  • Expensive for a one-use item
  • Adhere amazingly well
  • Very uncomfortable to wear
  • Did not notice any added hydration, brightness or depuffing after use

Revlon Revlon Kiss Balm Duo Pack

Suggested Retail Price: $6.99 each of $9.99 for the duo pack

This duo pack comes with one exfoliating balm that uses real sugar crystals, and one tinted lip balm in the shade “Berry Burst”, that uses natural fruit oils to hydrate, and an SPF of 20 to protect you during sun exposure.

Something that I noticed with the exfoliator is that the grit is very fine and there is a ton of balm compared to grit, so if you have a lot of dry skin that you need to exfoliate away, this is not going to be the product for you. If you just need to do a little bit of fine exfoliating before a lip product, I think this could be fine. It did taste like delicious mint though!

On the other hand, I actually think the tinted lip balm is pretty great! It is such a pretty shade for spring and summer. It just adds the right amount of juicyness and depth to your lips. I am also super impressed that they added an SPF in there, which I have learned from personal experience, is very important! You do not want to burn your lips! It is awful!

I found that this lip balm was very comfortable, and definitely hydrating. I have very dry lips, so I can tend to be picky with balms, that is for sure. I am very happy with how this one performs!

Quick Take

  • Exfoliator is good for fine exfoliation, but not good if you have a lot of dry skin to remove
  • The tinted lip balm gives just the right amount of pigment to your lips
  • It is very hydrating and comfortable
  • It has SPF to protect you in the sun, which is awesome

Final Thoughts

Overall, this was a really fun VoxBox to receive. It not only allowed me to try many different types of products at once, but it also introduced me to some new brands! Altogether, I think all of the items were great in this box, with the exception of the Flawless by Friday under eye patches, and maybe the Revlon lip exfoliator. Other than that, I will definitely be continuing to use the other products!

Well, thanks so much for reading everyone! If you ever have any questions about Influenster, please don’t hesitate to ask me.
