Hey everyone, happy Friday! Today I bring you the perfect highlighter to get your glow on for the weekend!
I’m sure this highlighter is over-reviewed, but who doesn’t search for multiple opinions when researching a new product? Well, spoiler alert, the hype is real.
I don’t know anything about Amrezy, or Amra, and had never heard of her before this collaboration, but she is absolutely stunning! She is best known for her presence on instagram, but is also a beauty and fashion blogger. If you don’t already know, this is actually Amra’s second time collaborating with ABH. Her first product was a 10-pan eyeshadow palette which released in 2014. Well now it’s time for a new highlighter!
Packaging and First Impressions
In usual ABH style, the compact is absolutely gorgeous. It is a glossy deep black with gold writing and star details. These compacts are always so beautiful, but hard to take a picture of because they are so reflective! Inside, the highlighter is pressed in kind of a sand dune texture. This highlighter shade is described as a “light brilliant gold”.
Price and Quantity
This highlighter is priced at $36 CAD ($28 USD) and has 0.31 oz of product. I actually did a Wow! or Waste? on all of the new spring releases from ABH, so check out that post for price comparisons to other highlighters to see what the value is of this product!
Pigmentation and Performance
This highlighter has amazing pigmentation and builds up so effortlessly. It is definitely the wet/metallic type of highlighter. I think when this highlighter came out, a lot of people wondered if it was just another gold. And therefore, how can it be unique? Well I think the shade combined with the formula is what makes it special. It is such a pretty light gold, that I think would work for most skin tones. I honestly think that this is my new favourite gold highlighter!
I like to apply this highlighter with a brush. This highlight is pressed pretty firmly, and doesn’t really have any kickback when you dip in a brush. At first application, it can definitely look pretty metallic and maybe like it stands out too much, but after you set your makeup with a setting spray, it really melts it into the skin and it looks so flawless! This shine definitely lasts all day.
Below are some swatches, some comparison swatches with other gold highlighters I own, and a picture of me wearing the highlight from St. Patrick’s Day!

Final Thoughts
As much as yes, this is another gold highlighter, I truly think it is a BEAUTIFUL gold highlighter. The formula does seem to be unique, in that it is pressed so firmly but gives you great pigmentation. I love that the shine lasts all day and overall, I’m having a lot of fun playing with it!

Soooo pretty. Haha my most current post just mentioned how similar I thought this highlighter is to Becca Opal, so I’m glad you thought so too and I wasn’t completely out to lunch! I do think it’s more metallic though!

I’m glad you agree! Yes, you are right it definitely is more metallic. Becca Opal is one of my favourite highlights for the summer, so no wonder I like this one!

Haha I know how you feel! All those comparison swatches are the gold highlighters I own, so I obviously don’t need more lol. But it does show you that the gold tones can actually vary quite a bit!

You’re absolutely glowing with this highlighter! I want it so bad, ABH is killing me! I have Becca Opal which does look pretty similar in the swatches so I probably don’t need it, but it still sounds pretty unique.

Haha! I only have a tiny sample size of opal so I don’t feel guilty. Although, one should never feel guilty over makeup 😋

Haha I have the mini too. And I agree, I spend a lot of makeup & skincare but my husband spends his money on fast food and magic cards. So no guilt!
