St. Patricks Day 2018 ☘️| 4 Eyeshadow Looks + 3 Manicures

Hello everyone! Happy St. Patrick’s Day! ☘️🎩🍀

Today I am bringing to you a rather simple post that will hopefully give you some inspiration for this shamrock and leprechaun-filled holiday.

First, I have created four different eyeshadow looks that incorporate green. I realize that a lot of people may not have ventured into using greens on their eyes, so I have created 4 looks to give you some options. I have also included three different manicures that I have done over the last little while if you are looking for any last minute inspiration in the nails department!

4 Eyeshadow Looks to Get You Lucky (too far? lol)

One way to take a baby step into incorporating green into your eye is adding it onto the lower lash line of any neutral eye look. The shades that you use on the lid can be warm, cool or neutral shades. I, personally like warm shades with green since it provides a really nice contrast. Then, add green shadow to your lower lash line to make things just a little more festive. I decided to add the green in a very thin, defined line to act more as a liner.

EYES @maybelline Fit Me Concealer “Fair”
@natashadenona Mini Sunset Eyeshadow Palette all over the lid
@urbandecaycosmetics Heavy Metals Eyeshadow Palette ➡ “Mullet” on the lower lash line
@katvondbeauty Ink Liner “Trooper”
@urbandecaycosmetics Glide-On Eye Pencil “Perversion”
@covergirl Super Sizer “Very Black”

However, if you are comfortable with green, or up for the adventure, go for the full green lid with a gold inner corner. This special day is all about green and gold isn’t it? Again, I decided to use warm shades in the crease because I like the warm and cool contrast, but you could certainly use neutral or cool browns instead if you prefer. As usual, I would suggest that you use concealer all over the lid when pressing on a metallic shade, to give you maximum opacity and adherence. No one wants green sparkly fallout all over their face, although with this holiday, it might be appropriate.

If you are partial to a little bit of glam and a lot of sparkle, go for a green and gold halo eye. Again, I started out with some warm shades in the crease, deepening it with some black to make it blend in with the green as well as possible. Then, pack on any green you have on the inner and outer corners, apply some concealer to the middle of your lid and press on some gold shadow. I added a little more sparkle by applying some gold glitter liner over the gold shadow.

Last but not least, if you are really looking to smoulder the night away, go for a bold, smoky green eye. I built up the crease with some warm neutral shades, applying some black in the outer corner to deepen everything up. I then applied an emerald green shadow all over the lid after cutting the crease with concealer. Then continued to deepen the outer corner and really elongate the shadow to give a more cat-eye effect.

  1. I love all of these looks! Great idea going with all-gold eye makeup for those that aren’t comfortable using green eyeshadow 🙂

    LOVE all of the nail looks too! They’re all beautiful, but my favourite is the glitter ombre – glitter ombre always gets me!

    1. Thanks so much Cleia! Haha I tricked you 😛 I went to a local pub for music bingo! It was great because it’s a pub that has a bit of an older crowd so it wasn’t too crazy, which is my kind of scene these days lol. Did you get up to anything?

        ooo that sounds fun! I’m more of a pub person too, loud bars where you can’t hear what people are saying aren’t for me. I didn’t do anything unfortunately, I had to work until midnight so I missed all the fun lol
