Happy International Women’s Day! | UD LE International Women’s Day Lipstick 💋

Hello everyone! I just wanted to drop you a quick note to wish you a very happy International Women’s Day!

Being a women in science, I am all about female empowerment and raising recognition of female contributions to science fields, which are typically male-dominated. Today I will be helping host a Women in Science event with my university to help celebrate women in all their glory! We need to make sure that the world realizes that women are a force to be reckoned with, regardless of what they are trying to accomplish!

I am currently in the last year of my Masters of Science in Biology. This is me cutting some histological sections with a microtome (pictured behind me).

ALSO, I wanted to draw your attention to this e-mail that popped up in my inbox today! Urban Decay has come out with a new Vice Lipstick specially for International Women’s Day. And guess what? When you purchase this lipstick, 100% of the proceeds are donated to non-profit organizations that focus on empowering women! I couldn’t believe it when I saw that all of the proceeds are donated. This is an incredible thing for a company to do, and I will definitely be purchasing this lipstick. It comes in special LE packaging and the shade, “Outspoken,” is described as a “mauve nude-pink shade with a metallized finish“. I also love the rose detail on the packaging.

Anyways, I just wanted to spread the word that Urban Decay is offering this incredible lipstick for an incredible cause. Click here to see the lipstick!

  1. Great post, it’s so cool you are in the science field! Best wishes for you! ❤️ My mother, who passed away in 2015, still inspires me every day to keep trying to achieve my goals, as she was a respiratory therapist, eventually a detective, and a single mom all at that! Have a great day 😊

    1. Thanks so much Stormi! I’m sorry to hear about your mother. She sounds like a truly amazing person. My mother passed away in 2012 and was also a single mom, so maybe I can understand a little of what you went through. Single moms are seriously badass and will always be an inspiration for me 🙂

  2. I’m so sorry to hear about your mother as well. There’s really a special bond between a mother and daughter, especially single mothers ❤️
