Hello everyone! Happy March! As usual, it is hard to believe the month has ended already. However, this time it is very happy since spring is just around the corner! The days have definitely started to get longer, which makes me very happy. Although, what does not make me happy is that Daylight Savings Time begins soon, which means one hour less of sleep, sigh. I seriously feel like I am chronically sleep deprived. Oh well, at least I love tea and coffee!
February was a relatively good month. You will notice that I was especially inspired during the beginning of the month with Valentine’s Day upcoming, but after, my posting definitely lessened a bit. Things got very busy with school towards the end of the month, with grant applications, conference registrations, and I presented at a conference as well!
I definitely haven’t been doing manicures as much lately, so I am hoping spring adds some new inspiration to my life.
This month was a lot of fun since I really got to dive into pink eye makeup looks. I absolutely love using pink eyeshadows, so doing my Valentine’s Day 2018 | Top 6 Eyeshadow Palettes + Looks for Valentine’s Day post was a blast! Make sure you check out that post for the details on this look.
I recently picked up this KL Polish Lips + Tips Boxed set when it went on sale! When it first came out I was very worried that it was going to sell out, but luckily waiting paid off! I love every single polish in this set. I don’t usually gravitate toward nude polishes, but all of these are classy and stunning! As I write this, I am currently wearing Alyssa. While it’s not on sale anymore, this boxed set is still available! Or you can purchase the shades separately. I highly, highly recommend the KL Polish formula. It’s chip resistant!
For the first time ever, I did an Ulta haul! Because I live in Canada I had been wary of making a purchase from Ulta because I am forever afraid of customs charges when packages from the US arrive. Luckily, Ulta guarantees landed costs, meaning that you should not get any ugly customs surprises when the package arrives. I got all of these beauties, plus a TON of sheet masks! Maybe I will do a haul post soon. I have already done a post featuring those two Physician’s Formula Healthy Lip Velvet Liquid Lipsticks.
Here is another look that I created for my Valentine’s Day 2018 | Top 6 Eyeshadow Palettes + Looks for Valentine’s Day post! Be sure to check it out if you want to know which palette I used 😉.
This last month I also splurged on a little Marc Jacobs lip sampler set. I really don’t own a lot of Marc Jacobs products. In fact, I only own a few minis of their lipsticks, so I decided to try out a few more products of theirs (you better believe I am getting my hands on their Tan-tastic bronzer when it comes out again!!!). I review this set in my Valentine’s Day 2018 | Marc Jacobs Cream and Sugar Nude Lip Trio. Aren’t the shades so pretty? They are seriously the perfect light nudes.
All three of the above pictures were also for my Valentine’s Day 2018 | Top 6 Eyeshadow Palettes + Looks for Valentine’s Day post! I loved taking the flat lay pictures! So many pretty palettes alongside roses! This eyeshadow look above was also my favourite of all the bunch, and I had never created anything quite like it before! Also, those lashes! So pretty 😍.
This was the second nail design I did for Valentine’s Day. You can see the first here, which I did at the very end of January. I love how the ring finger turned out especially!

Here is a look at the post that I did for the Physician’s Formula Healthy Lip Velvet Liquid Lipsticks. Spoiler alert, I love these liquid lipsticks! They are so comfortable and not at all drying, at least not until way way later in the day. I have even bought a new shade since this review, so you should definitely check them out!
February 10th was the inaugural Too Faced Better Than Sex Day! So I decided to participate by taking a quick pic with my mini of the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. This mascara definitely gives you a pretty look of separated and fluttery lashes. Unfortunately though, it flakes out on me all day, so that is a no go for me usually.
Another new Physician’s Formula item to me this last month was the (sort of) new Butter Highlighter in the shade “Champagne”. This highlighter is one of those almost putty/very creamy textured highlighters. I was afraid that this shade would be too deep for me, but it is fine if I apply it very lightly. It will certainly be stunning in the summer when I tan! Also, look at that holo packaging!💿😍
Something that I was so thrilled to receive this month was the new Kat Von D Studded Kiss Creme Lipstick through Influenster! This item was sent out to us even before it had launched, which is so incredibly cool. What’s even better is that I think the formula is really awesome. Make sure you check out my full review here.
After doing so many warm toned looks over the past four months, this look was truly a fresh breath of air. And I am so happy with how it turned out! This look was for Week 5 of Palette Roulette, which featured the Anastasia Beverly Hills Prism palette! Also, who’s stoked for the Sephora release of Soft Glam?! 🙋🏻♀️ I am so ready! I refuse to order from the ABH website since shipping is like $20 to Canada…. Nope.
Something that was unexpected this month was… Snow! Yes, that’s right, it snowed where snow doesn’t usually happen (and when snow doesn’t usually happen). This looks like nothing, but it snowed two inches after I took this photo. Luckily I got to leave work early because of this!
The last semi-exciting thing of this month was that I cut my hair. And this wasn’t any old trim, I cut off 5 inches! First picture is the before, and second is the after. I usually have very long hair, but it’s so nice to freshen it up in the spring. I like to have it long summer through winter, but spring is time for a renewal. It’ll grow back!
Well, that’s it for this month! What looks did you create? What type of looks or nails would you like to see me do during March?? I’m thinking I’m going to do every type of floral!
love the eyeshadow looks, they are stunning!xx

And great idea! I don’t think I’ve ever done a St. Patrick’s day look or nail design!

Thanks so much! And great idea. Can’t believe how early Easter is this year lol. There will be a lot of themed looks and nails this month between St. Patty’s and Easter. Hopefully I can get my shit together lol.
