I have prolonged posting about this monthly mani kit, not because I received it very late, but because I just haven’t had a chance to use it. I actually received this MMK surprisingly early compared to past months (they usually just barely arrive before that month is over). But this time I got this MMK before Christmas, which was really nice.
Unfortunately, around Christmas time I was travelling so I didn’t have time to do many nail designs. Also, in the New Year, I did a massive cut back in my nails. I literally cut all of them down as far as they would go, mainly because I had been maintaining them at a very long length for the last 5 or more months. And one was breaking every day, so it was just time to start fresh.
Because I think short nails are f@$king ugly (on me), I have not been doing any showy designs or anything (and have definitely not been taking pictures of them). And honestly, I am out of the snowflake/seasonal mood. So, instead of using these nail wraps from December, I am just going to unbox the kit for you so that you can see what we got in December. This month was actually really good, and I will definitely be using them next winter.
If you don’t already know, the @NinaNailedIt Monthly Mani Kit is a monthly subscription kit that is offered through the company Scratch. Each month this kit includes an exclusive and limited edition set of nail wraps designed by @NinaNailedIt, plus other handpicked nail art extras to accent your manicure. The price of this subscription service is $10 USD per month, plus shipping and handling ($4.99 USD for me in Canada; they ship internationally). You can see my full review of this subscription service here. If you are interested in seeing my posts on past months, you can do so here.
In December’s MMK we received:
- Lumi Wraps: Transparent nail wraps with metallic gold snowflakes.
- Snowflake Charms: Silver and rose gold.
- Snowflake Decals: White with a slight green pearl.
For the last couple of months I have mentioned that I have been disappointed in the accessories that we have received with the wraps. The wraps are almost always gorgeous, but sometimes the additional nail art extras are less than inspiring. This month though, I am happy with what we received! This is definitely making me feel better about this subscription again, and like I am getting my money’s-worth!
On the off chance I do decide to use these wraps in the next couple of weeks, I will be sure to post an update. Maybe I will try to make them a little Valentine’s Day-y.
