Hello everyone! Now that we are truly within the holiday season, it is time to start reviewing some of the holiday products that I have purchased! One of these items is the Becca Après Ski Glow Face Palette. This was the first holiday product that I splurged on this year, and spoiler alert, I like it a lot!
So let’s get into it!
Packaging and First Impressions
This is one of those products where even the unit carton is beautiful! The unit carton matches the actual palette, in that the box and palette periphery are decorated with blue-tinted frosted tree branches. Both the unit carton and palette are a highly mirrored silver finish. Inside the palette are three highlighters (Rose Quartz, Opal and Icicle), two blushes (Winter Berry (Mineral Blush) and Blushed Copper (Luminous Blush)) and one bronzer (Bronzed Bondi). All of these products are permanent within the Becca highlight, blush and bronzer product lines, except for Icicle and Winter Berry, which are exclusive to this palette.
Price and Quantity
This face palette is limited edition and is priced at $65 CAD ($54 USD, but currently on sale for $46 USD on both Sephora USA and the Becca website) and has 0.54 oz of product (0.09 oz in each pan). Unfortunately, it looks like Sephora Canada has just removed this palette from their website, but it is still available for purchase on Sephora USA and the Becca website.
For a price comparison, I chose face palettes that included more than two types of cosmetic items, whether it be blush, bronzer, contour, highlighter or eyeshadows: Too Faced Sweet Peach Glow Highlighting Palette ($52 CAD; one bronzer (0.10 oz), one blush (0.19 oz) and one highlight (0.10 oz)), the Becca X Chrissy Teigen Glow Face Palette ($56 CAD; two highlighters (0.18 oz each), one blush (0.085 oz) and one bronzer (0.085 oz), the Benefit Cosmetics Complexionista Face Palette ($42 CAD; two concealers (0.04 oz), two bronzers (0.1 oz each), and two highlighters (0.09 oz each)), the Tarte Clay Play Face Shaping Palette II (THAT’S RIGHT! THERE’S A NEW CLAY PLAY PALETTE! I AM SO EXCITED; $60 CAD; one bronzer/contour (0.21 oz), one blush (0.21 oz), one highlighter (0.21 oz), 9 eyeshadows (0.42 oz)), and the Make Up For Ever Jessie J Artist Face Color Trio (you can also customize the Artist Face Color Trios however you want; $56 CAD; one blush, one highlighter, one bronzer, 0.17 oz each)).
Because all of these face palettes contain so many different items and in list form it can be a bit confusing, the first table below is a summary of what all these palettes contain and how many oz of each product they have. In the second table is my typical cost-quantity comparison to show you the value of the products.
Company’s Product Mentioned Above | Concealer | Eyeshadow | Bronzer/Contour | Blush | Highlighter |
Tarte Clay Play II | x | 0.42 | 0.21 | 0.21 | 0.21 |
Benefit Complexionista | 0.04 | x | 0.2 | x | 0.18 |
Becca X Chrissy Teigen | x | x | 0.085 | 0.085 | 0.36 |
MUFE Artist Face Color | x | x | 0.17 | 0.17 | 0.17 |
Becca Après Ski Glow | x | x | 0.09 | 0.18 | 0.24 |
TF Sweet Peach Glow | x | x | 0.1 | 0.19 | 0.1 |
Rank | Company’s Product Mentioned Above | Cost ($ CAD) |
Quantity (oz) | Cost-Quantity Ratio for 1 oz of product |
1 | Tarte Clay Play II | $60 | 1.05 | $57/oz |
2 | Benefit Complexionista | $42 | 0.42 | $100/oz |
3 | Becca X Chrissy Teigen | $56 | 0.53 | $106/oz |
4 | MUFE Artist Face Color | $56 | 0.51 | $110/oz |
5 | Becca Après Ski Glow | $65 | 0.54 | $120/oz |
6 | TF Sweet Peach Glow | $52 | 0.39 | $133/oz |
Of all the face palettes currently available, this one isn’t necessarily the best value. However, as we saw above, all of these palettes contain different types of items, so what you decide is worth it will depend on which kinds of products you are looking for. I would argue that this Becca palette is the most versatile, since you get so many different shades of highlighter and blush, which really appeals to me, personally.
Also, who is super excited for the new Tarte Clay Play Palette II?! I had no idea this was coming out, and I literally just spotted it on the Sephora website. It is such a great value, and I love the original!
Claims
Here are the claims from the Becca website:
“From the slopes to the spotlight, this exclusive palette includes a new Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in Icicle – a cool, icy prismatic frost with a tint of blue, and a new Mineral Blush in Winter Berry – the perfect natural rosy pink. The new, limited-edition shades are paired with four of our bestselling, iconic shades: Sunlit Bronzer in Bronzed Bondi, Luminous Blush in Blushed Copper and Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in Opal and Rose Quartz. The possibilities are endless – go from a natural, fresh-from the-slopes glow to a sultry, ski bunny-bronzed highlight.”
Pigmentation and Performance
Overall, the quality of this palette is pretty good. I would say that these products perform basically the same as the single-pan counterparts, however some of the pans in the palette do feel drier to the touch.

The three highlighters all feel pretty smooth, however I do think the single-pan highlighters feel just a touch buttery-er. Regardless, they go on the skin so nicely, and really are all gorgeous highlighters. Rose Quartz is a “neutral pale pink” that looks really nice on light-medium skin tones. I love this pink highlighter because it isn’t too cool. Icicle is exclusive to this palette, and is “a cool, icy prismatic frost with a tint of blue”. This shade is very cool and looks great on the inner corner of eye looks. If you are really fair, and like rocking a slightly blue highlight, then go for it! Opal is of course a classic, “a neutral white gold with soft pink undertones”. This is one of my HG shades. I especially love wearing this one in the summer when my skin tone is a bit deeper. But it works for now too!
The blush “Blushed Copper” also feels pretty smooth, and swatches so nice! I don’t own any of the full-size luminous blushes so I don’t really know what the texture of these blushes is supposed to be. But the texture of this one is great. Additionally, the shade might look scary to some, but I absolutely love the shade of this blush (and I am light-medium skin tone)! Just go in with a light hand and blend it out and you will be wowed.
The blush “Winter Berry”, however, feels very dry to the touch, and is not so pigmented. You definitely have to build it up, however, it does build up really nicely, and looks very nice on the skin. The swatch above is not just one swipe, I probably had to go in three times to get the colour to show up as it is. But I would still say that it performs well on the face with building.
The bronzer “Bronzed Bondi” is maybe a touch drier than it should be, but it isn’t nearly as bad as Winter Berry. This shade of bronzer was a big reason why I purchased this palette, as I had been wanting to try our their full size of this bronzer. The shade is a really nice medium amber, that I think is really similar to the bronzer in the Becca X Chrissy Teigen Glow Face Palette, which I am obsessed with!
All of these products have really great lasting power. I never notice any of them fading. They all also blend really nicely.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I’m a pretty big fan of this palette! Yes, one or two of the shades are drier than they should be, and this is a common complaint with Becca face palettes. I’m not sure why this trend exists. Perhaps for the palettes, they need to press the product harder because they break more easily in palette form? This is me just guessing.
Regardless, I think all of the products perform really well, and are overall, just beautiful! 5/6 shades in this palette are new to me, and I don’t own any full sizes of these products, so this palette was a great buy for me, personally. Yes, it perhaps doesn’t have as good of value as some of the other palettes I compared to earlier, but the Becca formula of highlighters is so well known, that to me it is worth it. Additionally, this palette is extremely versatile.
Last of all, the packaging definitely makes this palette worth it as well. I have to admit, I bought this palette largely for the packaging, and I’m totally ok with that. It’s beautiful, and a perfect addition to my collection.
What do you think of this Becca Holiday Face Palette? Did you splurge on it, or any other holiday items? Let me know!
The packaging is to die for! I think this palette is a great way for people to get into a variety of Becca’s products, since it contains a mix of their highlighters, blushes, and bronzers.

This palette’s packaging is probably one of the most stunning that I’ve seen! I just love the way it looks and I would understand someone buying this based on its packaging alone!
Rose Quartz is such a beautiful highlight and I love the blush shade Winter Berry! Sooooo pretty!

Haha this was definitely a must have winter item, based on the packaging. I also love rose quartz! And I don’t have anything quite like it so it is perfect. A lot of my pink highlighters are too cool, and this one isn’t, which I love! Winter Berry looks great on. At first I didn’t think it would be such a good colour on me, but I really like it!

I like that the blush isn’t a typical pink! I like blushes like that. I’m glad it looks good on you too!
